Stitching wires
Pure copper stitching wire
Pure copper stitching wire is made from solid electrolytic copper. Like brass, it cannot rust because it contains no iron. Over time it darkens to a natural patina, which stays on the surface and does not stain the carton. It costs about the same as brass.

Applications
Where it is used
It is softer than brass or steel, so it gives a gentle clinch. This helps on thick multiwall board and on older machines with worn parts.
Used for
Multiwall board
Premium binding
Older stitching heads
Heavy multiwall corrugated board, premium binding and printed work, humid storage, and older stitching machines that clinch harder grades unevenly.
